Women’s Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
Assessment and management of perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause.
Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can affect sleep, mood, energy, libido and overall wellbeing. Many women experience symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, brain fog, poor sleep and changes in mood, which can be discussed during assessment and, where clinically appropriate, may be managed with hormone therapy.
Elite HRT offers structured Telehealth assessment for women seeking medical review of menopause-related symptoms. All treatment decisions are made by our prescribing doctor following review of your questionnaire, screening and bloodwork.
We use TGA-approved, commercially available medications only.
Who Is This Service For?
Elite HRT is designed for women experiencing symptoms associated with:
• Perimenopause
• Menopause
• Post-menopause
Common concerns may include hot flushes, night sweats, sleep disturbance, mood changes, brain fog, vaginal dryness and changes in libido.
This service does not include fertility treatment.
Women under 40 with suspected Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) are generally referred to an endocrinologist, as this is not considered appropriate for Telehealth-only management.
How It Works
Step 1 – Complete Your Bloodwork
Order the required Elite HRT panel, or provide equivalent results from your GP or pathology provider (within the last 3 months).
Step 2 – Submit Your Questionnaire
Complete our online questionnaire, including your medical history and screening information.
Step 3 – Telehealth Consultation
If appropriate, you’ll be scheduled for a 30-minute telephone consultation with our prescribing doctor to review your results and discuss management options.
Screening Requirements
Before prescribing, patients must be up to date with appropriate screening.
This includes:
• A Cervical Screening Test (within the past 5 years)
• A Mammogram (within the past 2 years)
Consultation may proceed without uploaded screening results; however, prescriptions cannot be issued until required screening documentation has been reviewed.
Additional investigations may be requested where clinically indicated
FAQs
What is Elite HRT?
Elite HRT is our women’s hormone service focused on the assessment and management of perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause.
As a private Telehealth clinic, Elite HRT allows women across Australia to access menopause care from the comfort of their home. Patients can complete their blood tests locally, speak with the doctor via Telehealth at their scheduled appointment time, and receive their prescription electronically without needing to attend a physical clinic or wait in a GP waiting room.
All treatment decisions are made by our prescribing doctor following review of your questionnaire, bloodwork and consultation. Where treatment is appropriate, we use TGA-approved, commercially available medications only.
What blood tests are required?
A comprehensive baseline blood panel is required prior to consultation.
The Elite HRT blood panel can be conveniently ordered through iMedical, providing an efficient way to organise the required bloodwork prior to assessment. Results are typically returned within 24-48 hours after collection and sent directly to your email, helping streamline the process without the need for multiple GP visits to request and collect pathology results.
The panel reviews over 40 key biomarkers relevant to menopause and overall health, providing your reviewing doctor with a comprehensive baseline to support an accurate clinical assessment.
Patients are not obligated to order the Elite HRT panel. If your GP or pathology provider has already supplied the required tests within the last three months, those results can be used for assessment. Elite HRT does not make any profit from the iMedical panels – they are offered purely to help patients organise the necessary bloodwork efficiently.
The EliteHRT blood panel includes:
• Free and Total Testosterone
• E2 (Oestradiol)
• SHBG
• FSH/LH
• Progesterone
• Prolactin
• DHEAS
• Cortisol
• TSH/FT3/FT4
• Full Blood Count
• Liver Function (LFT)
• Kidney Function (UEC)
• Chol/TG/HDL/LDL
• Glucose
• HbA1c
• High Sensitivity CRP
• Iron Studies
• Vitamin D
If still cycling, patients will be asked which day of their menstrual cycle the blood test was performed.
How long are consultations?
All Elite HRT consultations are 30-minute telephone appointments.
